Hail to the Victors
In addition to being one of the most well-rounded universities in the U.S. for academics, the University of Michigan boasts some of the best sports teams in the NCAA as well. Nothing is better than a game at The Big House:
A fun fact about the University of Michigan is the brass “M” that’s in the quad. Legend has it that if you step on the M, you will fail your first blue book exam. Back in 1927, you actually saw live wolverines as mascots at football games. The two wolverines on campus were named Biff and Bennie. After one year of being mascots, however, Biff and Bennie were sent to the zoo. Finally, there are 6 miles of tunnels under the diag. These tunnels are meant for infrastructure like pipes and fiber optics, but some students have ventured down into the tunnels much to the dismay of university security.
The University of Michigan is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which was voted one of the best college towns in 2018.
