Florida Gators

The Florida Gators sports teams compete in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference, and are supported by mascots Albert and Alberta the Alligators. The Gator football team, which competes in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium – commonly called the “The Swamp” – is particularly notorious. 


A fun fact about the University of Florida is an invention that is used by many of today’s sports leagues. In 1965, Gatorade was created by a team of scientists studying in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida. University of Florida has the 11th best Agricultural Sciences program globally out of 200 other universities worldwide according to the U.S News and World Report.
